Design does not have to be revolutionary. Sometimes it’s about realizing the answer already exists, and that it is simply a matter of refinement and consistent application. Perhaps like many schools, Cathedral school had gathered a multitude of crests in various guises. The most iconic was already found on the school’s blazer and had already become an aspirational landmark within the local community.

On this occasion we took the blazer crest and refined it, adding an architectural balance found in the neighboring Cathedral, to which the school is so strongly associated.

Once refined, we applied it to all of Cathedral school’s communications across print and digital media and provided a range of consistent executions, from a key-line version used on their franking machine, to reversed and alternative colour versions should the use of the identity demand it.
